Located in the cozy growing community of Thornbury for close to 15 years the once Mexican folk art kiosk has transformed into an all-in-one comfort living store.

“The word comfort can have a very personal definition. Comfort can mean many different things to different people” states the new owner Suzanne Richter Andersen. “Relatively speaking the surrounding and environment one chooses for their home dictates their own comfort living style. At Parrots and Parsnips we embrace a wide variety of decorative elements through colour, objects and materials. That could be upscale country, modernistic, or traditional. Comfort Living that works for you.”

Our goal when you come into the store is for it to feel like home to you or at the very least help you visualize your dream space.

“The store is consumer driven” says Richter-Andersen. A large majority of our customers know they can come to us browse through our catalogues and we will  help finding the right items to personally match their requirements.  ‘Good taste is important in decorating and designing a room but it’s only the beginning'.

Since Richter Andersen has bought the store she is dedicated to showcasing a wide variety of interior options and resources.
