Olde Fashioned Christmas
- My comments on the whole event
are... Hats off to everyone!
- I have to say that was one of the
best OFCs we have experienced. It was busy, the crowds
were happy and the weather held for us. Great job everyone!
- Our grandson loved it! Wonderful
night!
- This was the best one yet! Everyone
seemed to raise the bar a bit higher. Great fun! Thanks
to all for making our village so welcoming.
- Hey folks. Thanks again for involving
us in this year's Olde Fashioned Christmas. It was a fabulous
event and I received endless positive feedback from those
in the community.
Thornbury Experience
We started the day with breakfast
at The Orchid, everything was so delicious!
We enjoyed browsing at some of the art / decor stores -- Terase
Art, Reinspired and Drewhaven, so many beautiful things and
at every shop we visited we were so impressed with how they
would recommend another store to us.
We had lunch at The Dam Pub and thoroughly enjoyed the great
pub fare and atmosphere.
Then it was time to shop again, yay!! This round we went to
the clothing shops--French Laundry, Decorso's, Furbelows,
Evolution for Men, Gaia Boutique, Terraware and Tigs, everyone
was so helpful and friendly. We also checked out Jessica's
Book Nook, The Diamond Studio and Birch and Benjamin.
In the late afternoon we had a coffee break at Ashanti Coffee,
very nice coffee and the server was nice enough to allow us
to hang out even though she was trying to close shop.
We ended the day at The Cheese Gallery with a delicious assortment
of cheeses.
We had an amazing day and I've told many friends and family
members about so many of the shops in Thornbury. We will definitely
come back again!
Thanks!

Thornbury Experience
I was visiting a few of Thornbury's
shops yesterday and was impressed by how beautifully enhanced
your main street is with all the blossoms and blooms.
You, and your fellow shop owners, should feel so proud of
the feeling of grace and charm you've created. The elegance
of the floral arrangements add a beautiful dynamic to the
shopping experience.
Kudos, too, to the town for the lovely hanging baskets. The
red and white festoons relay a sense of upcoming celebration.
You clearly have a community that embraces and invests in
the practice of gracious hospitality.
